Surprise Proposal in Freedom Park

Wedding Rehearsal Dinner Photos at Trump National Golf Course Charlotte

A Perfect Start to a Wedding Weekend at Trump National Charlotte. Friday began with the wedding rehearsal on the shores of Lake Norman. Trump National is an extraordinary setting for a wedding weekend, with its private-club atmosphere, manicured grounds, and sweeping views across the lake.

The rehearsal itself was relaxed and full of anticipation. Family members and friends gathered together, everyone beginning to settle into their roles for the wedding day while enjoying the beautiful setting. These moments may not appear on the formal wedding-day timeline, but they are often some of the memories couples and their families treasure most. That is one of the reasons I enjoy photographing an entire wedding weekend . The wedding day is obviously paramount, but there is an entire story happening around it that deserves to be photographed.

Proposing at Daniel Stowe Conservancy

A timeless Saturday morning captured on film, as this boyfriend proposed to his girlfriend in the Williamson Conservatory at the Daniel Stowe Conservancy in Belmont, NC. There’s something incredibly meaningful about being invited into one of the most intimate moments of a couple’s story — the very beginning of their engagement. Given the time of year, seasonal blooms, and the weather forecast, we selected the stunning Williamson Conservatory as the proposal location.

The Carolinas’ only 8,000-square-foot, five-story glass house, the Williamson Conservatory is nothing short of magical. Inside the greenhouse, an indoor waterfall flows beneath a canopy of lush tropical plants, while orchids bloom year-round. No matter the season outside, it’s a romantic botanical escape.

Romantic summer wedding proposal in the White Garden at the Daniel Stowe Conservancy in Belmont, NC. These botanical gardens offer a stunning private location you can reserve for proposing to your girlfriend, and can visit over and over again. Assisting the boyfriend in planing his surprise proposal is something I’ve done many times, and we planned the perfect way for him to pop the question here. After the proposal, we celebrated with engagement pictures that will be great for those Save-the-Date cards and sharing with friends! So happy for these two, and their upcoming wedding.

A Proposal in Southend Charlotte

Surprise marriage proposal in South End’s Gold District! It was a Friday evening on tree-lined Lincoln Street where John got down on one knee to ask his girlfriend, Paula, to marry him. After she said yes!!!, the couple had an intimate cocktail experience with crafted martinis in the Green Room at Lincoln Street Kitchen & Cocktails. Paula was gracefully stunning in her light pinstripe outfit and heels, matching up well with John’s outfit of muted blues and leather oxfords.

Proposal in Southpark

Sweet spring wedding proposal at Serenity Gardens in the Southpark neighborhood of Charlotte NC. Beautiful flowering greenery and blooms fill the background at this garden tucked away in south Charlotte. Helping Garrett design his surprise proposal for Noelle was really fun, and getting to photograph and film the big question was a gift.

After the proposal, we celebrated with engagement pictures around the gardens, popped a bottle of champagne, and finished with a quick highlight film with drone footage. A beautiful day.

Proposal at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden

A winter wedding proposal in the Conservatory at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden, where the greenhouse provides lush greenery and flower blooms year round regardless of the weather outside. Helping Kevin plan his surprise proposal was so much fun, and getting to photograph and film him proposing to Olivia was very special. After the proposal, we celebrated with engagement pictures around the gardens, popped a bottle of champagne, and even did a quick highlight film with drone footage. An amazing day!
